Actually it's more common than you would think. Also, it was stated that Dirge's spark wasn't put into someone else's body, it was put into a blank protoform.

Nice idea. I thought it was good for a laugh, and if it were "real", it'd still be worth a laugh.

You didn't need to rename Waspinator, though: remember we had Bumblebee back in G1. If anything, we'd need Space Hulu to explain the "-ator" suffix more than anything.

If this is supposed to be waspinator in the the last panel why is it written "Weaponator".. am I missing something?

I didn't think "Waspinator" makes much sense before he actually became a wasp. I'm speculating on what he called himself before the Beast Wars.
