this is amazing...period
i especially love how u put the War within prime there, because that's exactly what it should've looked like in the series. But war within wasn't invented then.
gr8 art style, I agree with some other users, this gives it the flashbacky look

Hey everyone, I'm new here.

I love the way this comic looks and the emotions it conveys. I myself really grew up during the Beast Wars era of Transformers, so I really understand the meaning of this piece.

One question though, who are the figures in panel 5? I would assume they are the Maximals, but I can't tell who's who.

Otherwise, love it. So faved.

They are (from left to right): Rhinox, SIlverbolt (flying,) Optimus, Rattrap, and Cheetor. The body parts lying around them are the stasis locked Generation One characters, and that's definitely Ravage's arm sticking up in the bottom right-hand corner.

She was offline at the time (Megatron put her in stasis lock with Silverbolt acting in his usual over dramatic self) I did my research!

Actually, she was shown online and with the rest of the crew while they returned Optimus's spark to his body. Remember, this line?
Optimus: What we need to do, Maximals--
Blackarachnia: Ahem!
Optimus: ...And, Predacon... is fortify ourselves!

I really enjoyed that part of Beast Wars (I loved the rest of it too). This is a really good story and I really like that it's not coloured. I think it adds to the story rather than take anything away.

The scene with Primal gazing into Prime's optics has always been one of the most awe-inspiring moments out of the Beast Wars for me. I always wondered what either would think in that moment, if Prime had been aware of it. You guys did a magnificent job. You brought the moment to life in your own way. :)

That was my favorite episode or at least one of them. It was cool how they met like that, even if one of them is unaware that they met at all. I always wondered how Prime would react, if he ever knew what happened...

(I grew up with BW so this one is really hitting close to home with me. Guess I have an idea of how Optimal Optimus must have felt at this point...) Much love :+favlove:!!!

I grew up on it too, so it's fitting that my first Mosaic should be about Beast Wars. If I were ever asked to choose a favorite episode, I wouldn't be able to, though "Optimal Situation" is definitely up there!

I always liked this concept.

Imagine G1 prime waking up on earth and having a new PRIME in the matrix as part of his wealth of knowledge... No wonder he was so visionary on earth matters.

That was my favorite part of Beast Wars ~ The two Primes "meeting" on the Ark...and the style of this is brilliant! I'm a big fan of color, but for what you were doing with the story the shades of grey are perfect =)

No worries, Prime's not dead, just slipping. In fact, Prime had not died yet in that moment (BW happens in the past Earth, before the events of G1, thanks to time travel)

Lovely! I agree that the pencil style does a good job of representing the introspective nature of the piece. Optimus Primal is such an interesting character and I love this part of the BW arc. I really enjoyed reading this.

Very nice! Echoing the sentiments on how the grayscale pencils make it feel like "a moment in between". It's great to see someone else's thoughts on one of my favorite story arcs of the BW series portrayed this way. :)

Nice to see some BW-related mosaic work for once...
I disagree with JazZeke. It seems almost dreamlike, something not quite tangible. The sketchy look gives it that feeling- of something that may happen, could have happened, or didn't. The only thing I'd wish for is a bit more tonal contrast and more dedication to the background elements.

I fully agree, backgrounds were difficult for me, I'm not that familiar with "transformers tech" style and didn't want to get too crazy on the style. Also, my scanner ruined some of the tones I did (especially in panel 2 and last one)

Wow, I have to admit at first I was a little dissapointed by the sketch artowrk--it's not what I had in mind at all when writing it. But seeing the positive reactions to it has alleviated my fears. It's so awesome to finally have something I wrote up for everyone to see.

Lovely little piece. Pencils helps tell the story as well in this situation. The blurred lines of past, present, and future are represented well with the grays. Love the size difference in panel 5.
